The British School in Colombo (BSC) trounced Hindu College, Colombo by an innings and 110 runs in their Inter-Schools Under-15 Cricket Tournament match played at the Shalika Grounds in Narahenpita.
Hindu College were bowled out for 65 runs in their first innings with Jerald Marcus (2/12), Kiran Srikrisnamenan (2/11) and Avera De Abrew (3/5) sharing the wickets.
In reply, the BSC hit up a formidable 201 for one declared after a solid opening stand of 168 runs between Avera De Abrew and Skipper Adhish Ubayasiri.
Avera completed his second century of the tournament while stroking a superb 101 not out in 80 balls while Adhish hit a fluent 64 from 54 deliveries.
Hindu College, trailing by a massive 136 runs in the first innings, once again collapsed and were skittle out for a mere 26 runs in their second attempt with Nathan Holmick returning outstanding figures of four wickets for two runs.
