Warden attacked by prisoners

Pallekele Police are investigating an alleged assault by three inmates, of a prison warden who went to inspect a cell in Dumbara Prison.

Investigations reveal that Sujan Hemantha, imprisoned for a drug offense, along with three others, carried out the attack, when the prison warden went to check on a mobile phone in cell K of the prison.

The prison warden has submitted a complaint to the Pallekele police regarding the incident.
