Passengers flee from cobra found inside bus

A large cobra was found in a Sri Lanka Transport Board bus which was running from Jaffna to Vavuniya and the passengers ran away from the bus.

The bus left Jaffna on Monday (28) morning but even an hour and a half later no one noticed the cobra. Near Kilinochchi, the bus stopped after a woman in the bus screamed that there was a cobra inside the bus.

The passengers on the bus saw the cobra, got off the bus and ran away. After some youths in the bus took a stick and pulled the cobra out of the bus, the bus started the journey back towards Vavuniya.

After the passengers complained about this incident to the Northern Province Transportation Board, an investigation has begun.
