W. A. M. Sachini Sassarani Adi Pattu, a student of St. Joseph Balika Vidyalaya in Kegalle won the first place at the 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination in the Arts stream.

She resides at Ethnawala in Warakapola and her father is an Inspector attached to the Dedigama Police Station in the Kegalle Police division. Her mother is also a teacher in the primary section of Nivatuwa Primary School in Warakapola. R. A. Minuli Rajapaksa, a student of the same school has also secured the first place at the GCE Advanced Level Examination in the Commerce stream in the Kegalle District.
