Dayasiri to fight for SLFP post, to form new Party if kicked out

Former Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary, MP Dayasiri Jayasekara said that he will not give up the fight  to regain the post of General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party.

He was speaking at a public gathering in Hettipola on Saturday. Jayasekera told the gathering organized by his supporters that he has no intention of leaving SLFP.

“I will definitely go to the highest court of this country. But now everyone is saying to form a new political party. I have no other choice if they try to drive me away permanently”.

He said those who removed him will target Party Leader former President Maithripala next.

He said those who are behind his removal had misled the Party leader while uttering falsehoods to create a division between him and the Party leader.

Jayasekera also said that the President had invited him on several occasions to accept a ministerial portfolio and so far he had not responded to them positively.Jayasekera added that soon he will take a crucial decision regarding his future in politics.
