Sri Lankan tourist arrivals passed the 950,000 mark after the second week of September. Total arrivals for the second week of September was 46,308. The magical mark of one million arrivals are expected to be touched towards the latter part of this month.
Once again India became the top source destination for Sri Lanka followed by the UK and Germany. China arrivals which were the top market for Sri Lanka during the pre C-19 era are yet to take off and it remains as the sixth source market for Sri Lanka.
Russian arrivals which were the top destination for arrivals list in the first three months this year too dropped to fourth place due to their summer season opening in the country.
