N. Thangaraja, a professional golfer from the Royal Colombo Golf Club, showcased his dominance on the third day of the Sri Lanka Golf Union September Ranking Tournament at Royal Colombo Golf Club.
Thangaraja’s exceptional play secured him a strong three-stroke lead over his closest competitors.
Playing on a challenging 71-par course, Thangaraja displayed precision with a round of 72 strokes, totaling 210 strokes over three days. This performance firmly placed him in the lead in the four-day tournament.
In second place, pro golfers K Prabagaran of Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and Anura Rohana of Royal Colombo Golf Club were close behind with a combined total of 213 strokes. Prabagaran had a standout round of 71 strokes, while veteran Anura Rohana finished with 72 strokes.
Teaching professional P. Hemantha of Victoria Golf Resort made a notable climb on the leaderboard, securing the third spot with 216 strokes after an impressive round of under par 70 strokes.
