Iranian, Lankan ministers hold discussions

Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa met Deputy Minister of Industry and Mines of Iran, Chairman of the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization Alireza Peymanpak at the Ministry and held a series of discussions to promote trade. The two Ministers discussed at length on the implementation of new value added projects related to Sri Lanka’s mineral resources, the implementation of new investments and agreements in the field of industry between the two countries and Iran’s support for new industrial projects in Sri Lanka. Further discussions were held on the export of finished goods of Sri Lankan industries to Iran and the strengthening of trade relations between the two countries.
