Mannar fisherman arrested with over Rs.20 Mn worth cocaine

Mannar Division Criminal Investigation Bureau Officers arrested a person on Monday (18) who was in possession of 01 kg and 12 grams of cocaine, worth over Rs.20 million, brought from India by sea.

A 35-year-old fisherman, who resides in Thalpadu, Mannar, has been arrested. Police information revealed that he was arrested near Thalpadu Stadium during a raid based on a tip-off.

A senior Police officer said that further investigations are being carried out and he has been handed over to the Mannar Police.
