RCS Sri Lanka celebrates Diamond Jubilee

The Royal Commonwealth Society – Sri Lanka celebrated its Diamond Jubilee at the Galadari Hotel in Colombo on Friday (22) with Australian High Commissioner Paul Stephens gracing the occasion as the chief guest.

The Annual General Meeting and a Gala Dinner for the High Commissioners accredited to Sri Lanka, British Council Acting Director R. Mendries and the RCS members followed.

RCS President Ifthikhar Aziz proposed a toast to King Charles, Head of the Commonwealth and Patron of the Royal Commonwealth Society.

The following are the new office-bearers: Ifthikhar Aziz (President), R. Kadirgamarajah (Vice President) and Suren Ediriweera (Vice President), Rohan Victoria (Treasurer), Marshad Barry (Assistant Treasurer), Nishanie Gunasekera (General Secretary), Harsha Perera, Hiran Seneviratna, Charnika Imbulana, Thulakshana Liyanage, Gamini Pedris, Dr. Vijaya Corea and Dilrukshini Kulatunge (Council Members) and Nipunika Adikari (Assistant Secretary).
