Four arrested for killing on orders of Manna Ramesh

The Police Special Task Force yesterday arrested four suspects involved in the killing of two people and causing injuries to two others when they were traveling to a funeral in Upper Talduwa, Avissawella, recently.

The Police Special Task Force stated that a journalist was among the arrested suspects.

According to the Special Task Force, the journalist was arrested in Meegoda and the other three suspects arrested in Hanwella and Talduwa.

The Special Task Force officers were waiting at a certain place to arrest the gunman and the journalist was arrested there.

These suspects were arrested for aiding and abetting the double murder by spying on the three-wheeler the deceased were travelling in and coordinating with the gunman.

The four suspects were handed over to the Avissawella Police yesterday. The shooting attack was directed by Manna Ramesh, an underworld drug trafficker staying in Dubai.
