All schools in Matara District closed on 5, 6

All Government schools in the Matara District will be closed today and tomorrow (5 and 6), in view of the prevailing torrential rains and inclement weather conditions, the Southern Province Education Director said.

Authorities have issued flood and earth slip warnings for several areas in the Matara district.Meanwhile the Meteorology Department said the prevailing showery condition in South-western part of the country is expected to continue further.
