Lanka Sathosa reduces price of four essentials

Lanka Sathosa has reduced prices of four essential food items with effect from yesterday (October 25). In order to help the national service that is being carried out by the government to eradicate poverty of Sri Lankan people, Lanka Sathosa, the only Government owned Super Market chain spread across the country, has decided to reduce the prices of four essential food items to provide relief for its consumers.

Accordingly, the reduced price of 1 kilo of Samba Rice is Rs. 222.00 with a saving of Rs. 6.00 per kilo. A kilogram of gram is now priced at Rs.549.00 providing a saving of Rs.6. The revised price of kilo of lentils is Rs.295 reduced by Rs. 5 per kilo and a kilo of Red Kekulu Rice has been brought down to Rs.169 with a price reduction of Rs.3 per kilo. These essential food items can be bought by consumers from any Lanka Sathosa store located across the country at these reduced prices from yesterday (25).
