Daughter steals over Rs. 1.5 Mn in cash, jewellery from mother

The Maradankeni Police have started an investigation to arrest a woman and her husband who allegedly robbed Rs. 1.5 million worth of cash and gold jewellery from the woman’s mother’s house. The complaint made by the mother to the Police states that the theft took place on Sunday (29) morning.

According to the complaint made by the 47-year-old woman to the Police, her daughter and her husband had stolen Rs. 500,000 in cash, two necklaces and two rings worth more than Rs. 1 million.

She has told the Police that there were six other suspects with her daughter and her husband and she did not know them.
