Special commodity levy on sugar increased

The Special Commodity Levy imposed on imported sugar has been increased to Rs. 50 per kilogram from today (02), by the Ministry of Finance through a government notification.

This increased Special Commodity Levy on sugar by Rs. 50 per Kilo will be valid for a period of one year with effect from today (02) until 02 November 2024.
