National Ranking Golf from November 10 to 13 at VGCR

Sri Lanka Golf is all set to host the National Ranking Tournament for November, scheduled to run from November 10 to 13 at the Victoria Golf and Country Resort in Digana.

This tournament holds a dual significance as it will also serve as a trial to select two men for the 122nd Amateur Golf Championship of India and two men for the Malaysian Amateur Championship, both slated for December.

A total of 27 players will be competing for top honors in this tournament. Notably, Chanaka Perera and Chalitha Pushpika have recently returned after participating in the APGC held in Melbourne. The junior players Reshan Algama, Jevahn Sathasivam, K Danushan and Adhithya Weerasinghe have returned from their recent engagements in tournaments held in Thailand and Malaysia, bringing their experiences to the upcoming event.

Uchitha Ranasinghe, the winner of the September National Ranking Tournament, and G Danaranjan from Victoria Golf Club, who was the runner-up in the July National Ranking Tournament, will be part of the competitive field. Notably, Danaranjan’s home course is Victoria Golf and Country Resort.

The tournament is expected to witness stiff competition as players aim to secure their positions in the two international events next month.
