Nilaveli Police Crimes OIC arrested with ‘Ice’

The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) arrested the Nilaveli Police Crimes Division OIC in connection with drug trafficking on November 10.

At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of 25.81 grams of the drug Ice. The Sub Inspector was presented to the Trincomalee Magistrate’s Court on Saturday (11) and being questioned at the Police Narcotics Bureau.

The officers of the Trincomalee Unit of the Police Narcotics Bureau produced the suspect sub-inspector under the Criminal Procedure Code No. 125 for transporting 25 grams of Ice. By the time of the arrest, he was riding a motorcycle near a hotel located in Alleswatta in the Uppuveli Police Division. The Police Narcotics Bureau arrested this officer after a lengthy investigation. The Trincomalee Police Superintendent interdicted this officer yesterday (11).
