All Parties must help country recover from financial crisis – Minister

Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana yesterday said that all Parties should work together to help the country recover from the financial crisis.

The Minister also said that if we have the same interest that we have for cricket to recover the country from the financial crisis, then this country can be recovered.The minister said this while joining the debate on the third day of the Second Reading of the budget.

“I have written many books on economics. I wrote a book on the economic destruction that happened in this country during the period of good governance. A law was passed to keep the budget gap below 5 percent. Governments took unlimited loans. All those who committed these mistakes should be punished,” the Minister said.
