SJB to present NCM against COPE Chairman today

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) will bring a No-Confidence Motion (NCM) against the Committee on Public Enterprise (COPE) Chairman Prof. Ranjith Bandara.

A SJB spoksman said that this Motion will be handed over to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena today (20).

The Opposition continued to state that, keeping Prof.Ranjith Bandara as the COPE committee chair and discussing about SLC is a futile attempt and unethical due to the alleged relationship between the Sri Lanka Cricket and Prof.Ranjith Bandara. The Opposition states that they do not agree to investigate corruption and irregularities in Sri Lanka Cricket under the leadership of Prof.Ranjith Bandara. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has suspended the COPE until further notice due to the situation that arose last week.
