GCE O/L to be held in Grade 10

The Education Ministry is currently planning to hold the GCE Ordinary Level Examination in Year 10 instead of Year 11, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said in Parliament.

The minister said that this decision has been taken to allow the school children to complete their education early and according to this plan, children can appear for the general examination at the age of 15 and for the advanced examination at the age of 17.
