Businessman commits suicide in Anamaduwa

A businessman residing in Vembuwewa, Anamaduwa, had hanged himself on the upper floor of his two-storied house Anamaduwa Police said yesterday (22).

It is said that Shanaka Dissanayake (33), a father of three, who lived in Vembuwewa Angammana had committed suicide.Police said that the concerned young businessman was running a daily and monthly money lending business and several other businesses and had been in good terms with the people of the area.

While his wife was also running a business, she said that she went to work in a foreign country seven months ago with the consent of her husband.

However, the young businessman who committed suicide had built a two-storied house with all facilities in Vembuwewa area. It is also said that he and his three children have been residing there.
