One killed, three injured in Karapitiya earthslip

One person was killed, and three others were injured after a mound of earth collapsed at a building construction site near the Karapitiya Hospital in Galle, on Saturday.

Police said four construction workers who were engaged in the construction work of a four-storey building, were buried under the soil due to an earthslip.

The Police also said one construction worker died on admission, while the other three were undergoing treatment at the Karapitiya Base Hospital, with one in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
