The Fourth Convocation of Nagananda International Institute of Buddhist Studies

The fourth graduation ceremony of the Nagananda International Institute of Buddhist Studies (NIIBS) was held recently, under the chairmanship of Minister of Education, Dr. Susil Premajayantha, at the institution’s premises.
Ninety-seven (97) undergraduate students were awarded degrees at the graduation ceremony, organized at the initiative of Ven. Dr. Bodagama Chandima Nayaka Thera, the Vice Chancellor of the Nagananda International Institute of Buddhist Studies. There were 10 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) graduates, 48 Master’s graduates (MA), and 39 Bachelor’s (BA), including six foreign students.

Minister of Education Dr. Premajayantha delivered the graduation speech, and many local dignitaries as well as many foreign dignitaries representing countries such as Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan also participated in this event.
