Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association, SLIFA, hosted a Christmas party to its members under the patronage of the ambassador Dewi Gustina Tobing on Tuesday (26) evening on at the Indonesian Embassy in Colombo.
Moratuwa Kadalana Methodist Church Rev. Fr. Anura Perera conducted sermon and Methodist Church Youth Fellowship sang the Christmas carols.

Ambassador along with Rev. Fr. Anura Perera and Sri Lanka Indonesia Friendship Association President Marleena Laxana lit the candle and cut the Christmas cake at the ceremony.
The Ambassador also presented gift packs to children.
Ambassador Tobing spoke on the significance of Christmas and said that it’s an annual event celebrated by Christians and observed by others for the greater good of the nation. A choir from a church in Moratuwa recited the Christmas carols.
Sri Lanka and Indonesia celebrate their 70th year of diplomatic relations, while the Lanka-Indonesia Friendship Society completes 30 years of service to the nation.
