Health Secretary inspects dengue prevention unit

Health Secretary Dr Palitha Mahipala today participated in an inspection tour of the Special Dengue Prevention and Control Coordination Unit and Call Centre established within the Disaster Preparedness and Response Unit of the Ministry of Health.

Considering the growth in the number of dengue cases reported recently in Sri Lanka, this special unit was established as per the instructions of the Minister of Health Dr. Ramesh Pathirana with the aim of strengthening the treatment services by controlling and suppressing the situation.
