‘Manna Ramesh’ arrested in Dubai

Notorious underworld criminal leader Ramesh Priyajanaka also known as “Manna Ramesh” who was conducting criminal operations while hiding in Dubai has been arrested by the Dubai Police today (06).

“Manna Ramesh” who has been wanted by Sri Lanka Police over multiple murders and numerous crimes committed by him in Avissawella and surrounding areas, was known to have been hiding in Dubai, according to intelligence reports received by the Police.

The Dubai defense authorities have informed the Sri Lankan security authorities that “Manna Ramesh” who had a Red Warrant issued against him by the Interpol has been arrested in Dubai by the Dubai Police.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has requested the Dubai Police through the International Police Branch, to handover “Manna Ramesh” to Sri Lankan authorities, Police Media said.

Accordingly, a group of police officers are scheduled to travel to Dubai to escort the arrested criminal leader back to Sri Lanka.
