Thirteen Sri Lankan chefs tantalise taste buds at Ambani tamasha

Thirteen chefs who had been selected and taken from Sri Lanka to cater for the pre wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Indian billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani, returned to Sri Lanka yesterday morning (7) from Mumbai, on a SriLankan Airlines flight.

They were a group of chefs who represented the Citrus hotel group in Colombo. These chefs had been selected based on customer feedback and Google reviews as well as recommendations.These Sri Lankan chefs had prepared and served Sri Lankan food in the latest ways in this restaurant. This group included 12 male chefs and one female chef.

These Sri Lankan chefs had been given the opportunity to prepare lunch for those attending the wedding on March 3, and based on the response and compliments regarding the food they prepared, they had arranged for the Chefs to prepare dinner on the next day (4) as an additional day and our group of Sri Lankan chefs had the responsibility and opportunity to prepare and serve Sri Lankan food on two days.

The wedding ceremony was held in a private zoo owned by billionaire Ambani in the city of “Jaam” in the state of Gujarat, India. In addition to Sri Lankan chefs, teams of chefs from England, Dubai, China and India had also been invited to cater for this wedding ceremony.
