Sri Lankan companies should look at engaging more with the global business arena and to promote this concept the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) will open regional offices in key growth markets, said new President of COYLE, Thushira Raddella at their 25th annual general meeting on Sunday at Colombo Hilton.

He said that world businesses are changing and companies are embracing new technology like artificial intelligence. In addition, going global too is a priority and to help Lankan entrepreneurs in this regard we will set up regional offices to promote Sri Lanka exports. He also said that many think that COYLE is a closed chamber and to break this mindset we will open up our chamber to engage with businesses as well.

He also said that they will engage with schools and universities to promote entrepreneurship among them. The majority of the members of the COYLE are exporters who earn much-needed foreign currency for the country, and they also have international investments, businesses and partnerships that are extremely important for the revival and progress of the country’s economy. Also, companies that are members of the Young Lankan Business Council contribute billions of rupees to Sri Lanka’s GDP annually.
