Three more MPs quit COPE

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Dayasiri Jayasekara, S. M. Marikkar and Professor Charitha Herath also have resigned from the Parliamentary Committee On Public Enterprises (COPE).

MP Jayasekara announced his decision, stating that he cannot work with a Chairman against whom several allegations have been raised.

Their resignation came a day after Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Eran Wickramaratne resigned from his position as a COPE member.
