Blustery conditions expected islandwide says Met Dept

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and North-Western provinces and in Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts after 2:00 p.m., the meteorology department said.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva and Northern provinces and in Polonnaruwa district during the afternoon or night.

Showers or thundershowers will occur over the coastal areas of Puttalam to Galle via Colombo during the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Ampara district during the morning.

General public are requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
