Parliamentary Medical Consultant Caucus set up

New Caucus called the Parliamentary Medical Consultant Members caucus was established under the initiative of the medical doctors among MPs yesterday.

Anuradhapura District MP Prof. Channa Jayasumana was elected as the Chairman of new Caucus.

Health Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana and former Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne were elected as Patrons and Consultant Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle and Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena elected as Vice-Chairmen. Dr. Thilak Rajapaksa was appointed as Convener and Dr. Upul Galappatti was elected as Deputy Convener.
