Power and Energy Minister accepts Supreme Court determinations

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara, in a post on ‘X’, said the Ministry accepts all the Amendments suggested in the Supreme Court’s (SC) determination on the new Electricity Bill.

He said that most of the Amendments were agreed upon during the SC hearing on the Electricity Sector Reforms Bill three weeks ago. Accordingly, the Amendments, as suggested by the SC, will be moved during the Committee stage for approval, he said.
