SLRC to telecast programmes from Abhayagiriya for Poson

Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation Chairman Senior Prof. Sudantha Liyanage said the Poya Day programme telecast by the SLRC will be held on Poson Full Moon Poya Day (21) at the historic Abhayagiriya Maha Vihara in Anuradhapura.

The Transport and Highways Ministry will operate a special bus service for the convenience of devotees participating in this year’s Poson festival centered around Anuradhapura.

A special discussion in this regard was recently held led by Transport, Highways and Mass Media Minister Dr.Bandula Gunawardhana and it was decided to publish the schedule of the relevant buses in the near future.

Accordingly, plans are currently being prepared to provide necessary travel facilities for the devotees participating in the Anuradhapura Poson festival.
