Let us foster society with spiritual values – PM

The main objective of the Hajj festival is to live in harmony with equality, stated Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena in his Hajj message.

Message follows: “Muslims from all over the world celebrate the Hajj festival by performing their religious practices. Gathering together and performing the rituals associated with their religion has been practiced since ancient times. The Islamic devotees also communicate the meaning of social co-existence by participating in the Hajj pilgrimage together. The main objective of the Hajj festival is to live in harmony with equality.

Let us embrace in this Hajj festival to live in friendship and brotherhood, giving up insignificant differences by fostering Sri Lankan society with the said spiritual values”.
