Ariya Rubasinghe’s biography to be launched today

A biographical book titled ‘Aee Thamai Ari’ (‘That is Ari’) revealing the challenging and controversial areas of the public life of former Director General of Government Information Ariya Rubasinghe will be launched today (05) at 3.00 pm at the Government Information Department, Colombo 05.

Rubasinghe held a number of positions in the government sector including the Director General of Government Information department and the Competent Authority on war news reporting during the period of LTTE terrorism. Ari was a dear friend of the journalists.

A lot of hitherto unknown information about political, social, economic and cultural spheres that existed in this country in the last few decades is revealed in this book.

Senior Administrative Officer and former Secretary to the President, Austin Fernando will also participate. The book ‘That’s Ari’ is written by Dilip Kulatunga. Sarath Perera has done the special photography of this book in which W.M.K. Wijaybandara has contributed as creative director. The book is a Sarasavi publication.
