Madampe accident: 25 passengers injured

At least 25 passengers were injured after a SLTB bus collided with a cement-loaded lorry in the Galahitiyawa area of Madampe on the Chilaw-Colombo main road this morning (4).

Police said the injured were admitted to the District General Hospital of Chilaw.

The collision took place when the bus travelling from Devala Junction to Colombo via Chilaw reportedly lost control and collided with a cement-loaded lorry heading in the same direction.

Further investigations are being conducted by the Madampe Police.
