Fourteen year old up and coming Cricketer Right Hand Opening bat, Right Arm off Spinner and safe fielder swimmer Bihandu Helika Senevirathne has brought honour and glory for his School Lyceum International School Nugegoda with his deeds in the field of sports.
Bihandu was born on 14 th February 2008 and admitted to Lyceum in 2013 and his principal is Mrs.Dilka Mendis. When he was Seven years old he was admitted to Fingara Swimming Club and in his first year itself he did free style, back stroke and Butterfly Stroke 25 meter events and swept the board and became the Champion and in the following year in the under Nine age group he did the same events and won Merit Certificates for all These three events.
Though Bihandu did athletics his forte is Cricket and noticing his talents keenness and interest in Cricket his Parents Thisara Seneviratne and Anoja Hewavitharana admitted their son to King Fisher Cricket Academy Homagama and came under Duminda Gunasekera and Participating in the Nelson Mendis under 12 Tournament they came up to Semi Finals and Bihandu performed well and in the following year at the under 13 Tournament they became Champions.
Same year participating at the Hiran Gunawardene freedom Open Academy Tournament he passed the 220 run mark with three half centuries and carried away Two Man of the Match Awards and last year playing in the Sanath Jayasuriya premier League under 13 tournament and representing Colombo Cubs he was the third highest run getter with three fifties and scored 88 runs in 66 balls and hit ten sixes in the tournament and won three Man of the Match Awards and the for highest number of Sixes in the tournament.
Also he has played in the under 13 Two Inter International Matches and his Coach is Chamara Guruge and Master in Charge is Amila Fernando and resently he is representing Lyceum School under 15 team and in addition he is attending practices at Colombo Cricket Club and his Coach is Manoj Millawithanachchi.
