“Gangs behind the explosions were with AKD who is promising to probe the incidents”

Ven. Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thera, the Secretary General of Bodu Bala Sena, said JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake went to Japan and if he comes to power, he will investigate the devastating explosions from the beginning and added it was Anura who knew the beginning, the middle and the end to the incident as the people who were behind it were with him. The Thera was speaking to the media when he came out of the Colombo High Court after being released on bail yesterday.

“On June 20, 2014, we met a Sheikh in Dikwella area. He said Sri Lanka has been chosen by fanatical religious gangs which are acting in a manner insulting the religion of Islam, to conduct dangerous experiments in Asia. We were told then to go and tell this to the Defence Secretary. Accordingly, we went and reported the facts that day. Even after telling these facts, the explosions happened despite the security.”

Ven. Gnanasara Thera further said following the explosions the extremist Muslim groups had sought refuge within the JVP-led NPP.
