Army Chief Presents Incentives to Olympic Winners of Army
Staff Sergeant Aruna Darshana of the Sri Lanka Artillery and Staff Sergeant Nadeesha Dilhani of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, who have qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris, received financial aid from the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, on 23 July 2024 at Army Headquarters.
The Commander of the Army awarded each athlete an incentive of 1,000,000.00 rupees, congratulating them and expressing his hope that they will win a medal for the motherland and uphold the honour of Sri Lanka and the Army.
