Fadna Vernolac ‘Prospective Scholarship Programme’ launched

Cancer has become a significant health problem in today’s world and in Sri Lanka too this is worsening with more than 30,000 new cases reported annually.

This rapidly growing cancer has become a source of financial and mental stress not only for the patients but also for their family members.

In a bid to provide some financial relief for cancer affected families Fadna Company which produces a series of health related products including Shape up Tea has launched a scholarship programme through Fadna Vernolac Prospective Scholarship Programme.

“We see many cases where students from affected families face problems in their educational journey due to psychological distress, increased responsibilities at home and economic difficulties.”

To cushion this Fadna Institute using the profit from its Vernolac product has come up to brighten the future of these students by encouraging them to take the A-Level examination for which the institute assists financially.”

The signing of the cooperation agreement for the Fadna Vernolac Prospective Scholarship Programme was held recently at the Gangarama Rajamaha Vihara, in the presence of religious leaders.

The programme will also be held in cooperation with the Moratuwa New Horizon Lions Club.

Fadna, a renowned brand has won the trust of its customers for over two decades and they have also introduced four products in collaboration with the University of Colombo.
