SLPP to name Presidential candidate on Monday

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary MP Sagara Kariyawasam yesterday said his party’s candidate for the upcoming Presidential Election will be announced on July 29.

Kariyawasam stated that the political authority is scheduled to meet on that day under the leadership of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna leader and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and also said that the candidate will be announced after the discussion.

The Parliamentary team of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and the organizers are scheduled to join this discussion.
