Legal action against Dayasiri, Wijeyadasa for deceiving SLFP supporters – Amaraweera

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Senior Vice President Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said legal action will be initiated against individuals who misuse the Party name and deceive party supporters.

‘The full legal rights of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party belong to our group, but people like Dayasiri Jayasekara and Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, who have no legal rights to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, are saying the SLFP will support the Samagi Jana Balawegaya in the upcoming Presidential Election by pretending to be the general secretary and chairman of the party” he said addressing a meeting in Agunakolapelessa.

He said both these individuals have been ordered by the court not to disturb and not to interfere in the affairs of the party. “So they have no legal right to use the positions and the name of Sri Lanka Freedom Party in this way to mislead our party members. Therefore, legal steps are being taken against them in this regard,” he added.
