SLPP is a political force of the modern generation working to fulfil its expectations – MP Namal Rajapaksa

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Presidential candidate MP Namal Rajapaksa said that, the SLPP as a political force of the modern generation that is expected by the country’s youth, is working towards fulfilling the expectations of the parents and the youth.

The National Organiser and the Presidential candidate of SLPP Namal Rajapaksa said this while addressing the media following the special ceremony held yesterday morning (7) to officially announce SLPP’s Presidential candidate at the Party headquarters in Nelum Mawatha, Battaramulla.

Namal Rajapaksa said that he is especially thankful to the Party’s political committee and members for trusting him in this challenging time and entrusting him with this responsibility.

He said that, at a time when the country is faced with many challenges, he is ready to take on those challenges and that he has total trust and confidence in the Party members and the Party’s principles, stating that it is when there are challenges that young people are needed for leadership.

MP Namal Rajapaksa said that as the National Organiser and as the Presidential candidate of the SLPP, he respectfully invites all those who have left the Party and are with President Ranil Wickremesinghe, to forget their grievances and shortcomings and join them again.

He emphasised that it is clear that the SLPP will definitely win the Presidential election, and that his victory is the victory of the Party and the victory of the Party is the victory of the country.

“We are committed to protecting the unity of the country by protecting the Party members and leading the country to victory”, Namal Rajapaksa added.
