Speaker endorses certificate on Public Financial Management Bill

Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, the Speaker announced to the House that in terms of the provisions of Article 79 of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, he has endorsed the certificate on the Bill titled Public Financial Management on 08 August 2024.

Accordingly, the said Bill will come into force as the Public Finance Management Act No. 44 of 2024 from August 8, 2024.

The said Bill was presented to Parliament on May 22, 2024, and it was passed with amendments on July 25th.
