Applications call for Freda Corea Awards

Freda Corea Awards – 2024, organised by the Gamani Corea Foundation, has now started inviting applications from contestants.

This competition is open to write a story on the theme ‘A Woman of Courage’.

If you are a courageous woman who has successfully overcome poverty through family empowerment, you can share with a storyteller the challenges you faced and how you overcame them.

A woman who has succeeded in raising the standard of living of the family or a community-based women’s project can be identified from a selected province and her story can be written and submitted to the competition. August 20 – deadline for registrations.
