NDB Wealth Management Ltdone of the largest private sector Asset Management company in Sri Lanka with more than Rs. 340 Billion assets under management, following their strategic collaboration with nVentures Pte Ltd in April 2024, hosted an exclusive educational workshop, ‘Startup Investing 101’.

This event aimed to demystify the fundamentals of startup investing for high-net-worth (HNW) clients, fostering a deeper understanding of the venture capital landscape.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Co-founder and Managing Partner, nVentures Chalinda Abeykoon and CEO, NDB Wealth Management Ltd Ruwan Perera sharing their insights. This set the tone for an engaging and informative evening, emphasising the critical role of education in nurturing the next generation of angel investors.

The highlight of the evening was a comprehensive presentation by Co-founder and General Partner, Accelerating Asia Ventures – Craig Dixon. Dixon’s presentation covered essential topics such as determining startup valuations, managing investment portfolios, negotiating terms, and establishing a reputation as a leading angel investor. The workshop’s educational depth provided attendees with practical knowledge and actionable strategies.

This was followed by a dynamic Q&A session with an esteemed panel of international experts alongside Craig Dixon, and included Co-founder and CEO, e27 Mohan Belani, and Vice President, Tenity for APAC and Managing Partner for Asia Jonas Thürig.
