SJB’s priority is to create job opportunities and reduce COL

Opposition and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa highlighted that when he comes into power priority will be given to solve the unemployment problem of younger generation including university students with the help of private sector and also reducing the increasing cost-of- living to a greater extent.

The Opposition Leader made these remarks at a well- attended public meeting held at Agalawatta in Kalutara District.

He said he has also taken steps to re-open the already stalled large number of small and medium scale business ventures, so that it will largely help to improve the living conditions of people in rural and remote areas.

Speaking on the education of school children the Opposition Leader said the SJB has also focused special attention towards the education of schoolchildren in the country and to uplift their education.

He said the SJB’s objective is to allocate huge sum of money towards the development of the education in the country. “So that our children could have their higher education in their motherland rather than seeking education in overseas educational institutions“, he said.

He said strengthening the ties between all communities in the North and South is also immensely needed at this juncture.

The Opposition Leader further said people should think twice to whom they would give their consent to at the forthcoming Presidential Election.
