Small and Medium scale Entrepreneurs will be granted Financial Assistance – SJB Nat.Org. Tissa Attanayaka

Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) National Organiser Tissa Attanayaka stressed the invaluable service rendered by our Small and Medium scale Entrepreneurs and said they would be definitely granted financial assistance with low interest rates to expand their business ventures under an SJB Government.

“So that they could develop their existing business ventures and also commence new business to uplift the country’s economy,” he said.

He said statistics reveal that a large number of youth who wish to commence various business ventures cannot do so due to lack of financial facilities.

“Youth should not be worried over this as the SJB has already initiated a programme to resolve this matter by creating nearly 1 million entrepreneurs and thereafter, our youth will not want to leave the country for foreign employment,” he said.

Attanayaka said that, in addition, the SJB also has a plan to reduce the escalating cost-of-living, considering the current living conditions of a large number of downtrodden citizens.

Talking about children’s education, Attanayaka said the SJB has already commenced “Sakwala”, a digital equipment distribution programme, which will be continued further, until all schools islandwide are equipped with Computers and digital Smart Boards.

Attanayaka also said that, in addition, the SJB will set up free English Language Learning Centres in all districts, as the knowledge of English is immensely important for our youth to find both local and foreign employment opportunities.

He further said people should think twice to whom they would give their consent to at the forthcoming Presidential Election.
