Anura Kumara Dissanayake is contesting not to represent or protect a family but to represent the people of this country – MP Dr. Harini Amarasooriya.

“National People’s Power (NPP) is not a family business. Anura Kumara Dissanayake is competing in this election not to represent or protect a family, but to represent the people of this country,” said MP Dr. Harini Amarasooriya.

Addressing the inaugural rally of the NPP held in Tangalle on Saturday (17), she further stressed, “NPP belongs to everyone here. We are all part of the NPP, and we have the responsibility to put our effort into strengthening and winning the NPP.

We can all be a part of the NPP’s historic win on September 21. We are here to create policies that will improve the country and people’s lives, rather than the system that has made the politicians richer. We want to eradicate the corrupted politics of the country. People who love the country and its people should be in Parliament.

The people of this country know that under an NPP government, we can take the country to a better place. We need to build a more humane society.”
