Country needs new Political culture – NPP Member, Prof. Chrishantha Abeysena
NPP National Executive Member, Professor Chrishantha Abeysena of the Kelaniya University, Faculty of Medicine, Ragama, said that there is a need for a political culture renaissance in this country that will make the politician, who enjoys unlimited privileges, become an ordinary citizen.
The Professor said this while addressing the opening ceremony of the election office of the Wattala-Palliyawatta Kottasa Sabha of the NPP.
Professor Abeysena also said, “In the last week, we have seen people who were like “Nai Mugati ” on the same platform. They are jumping and joining in this way for their personal gain and not for the betterment of the country. If we want to change the existing corrupt political system and create a new political culture, we need to change the Constitution. There should be a new political renaissance.
The politician, who enjoys unlimited privileges, is made to become an ordinary citizen.
The results of the country’s economic resources are provided to everyone equally. It is necessary to create development in this country.
We do not want racism and religion, NPP is the only political party that respects all cultures. Creating a society that preserves peace. Reveals the policy of legally punishing the guilty.
We do not copy and paste policies. People with various quantitative technical knowledge have prepared it. All our policies will be presented on the 26th of August 26.
Some political parties are inflated by many media. They have no political power. Posters for rent. But we are building electoral offices. Awareness is given at the village level. If we educate those who do not know our policies properly, our victory will be further assured.”
Nisansala Prasadini, President of the NPP, Palliawatta Kottasa Sabha, Vice President, Asanga Fonseka and others spoke. NPP Secretary Anselm de Silva also participated in the event.
